Terry Fator: A Very Terry Christmas
Hello! Did you miss me? It a very busy period for me: immigration paperwork and job interviews. Last Tuesday Joseph and I have seen the show of one of the main entertainers in Las Vegas: Terry Fator. During the Christmas season at The Mirage at the Terry Fator Theatre it staged A Very Terry Christmas: live music, funny, familiar. I don't want to give you any spoiler but I can guarantee you will be delighted.
Hello! Vi sono mancata? Periodo veramente pieno tra procedure di immigrazione e colloqui di lavoro. Lo scorso martedì io e Joseph abbiamo assistito allo show di uno dei mostri sacri di Las Vegas: Terry Fator. Durante il periodo natalizio va in scena presso il Terry Fator Theatre, The Mirage lo show A Very Terry Christmas: musica dal vivo, divertente, familiare. Comedy Daredevil at Hooters
Ieri io e Joseph abbiamo avuto il piacere di assistere lo show Comedy Daredevil che vede protagonisti la coppia di stuntmen Ryan Stock e la fidanzata AmberLynn presso il Night Owl Showroom, Hooters Hotel. Lo show è stato davvero impressionante, nel vero senso della parola: fiamme, lame, spade e comicità. La coppia ha raggiunto la fama nazionale dopo uno stunt "andato male" quest'estate ad America's Got Talent, quando AmberLynn colpì con una freccia infuocata il collo di Ryan. Fantastico plus dello show il simpaticissimo comico e mago Nick Diffatte. Ve lo consiglio fortemente. Nel caso decideste di fermarvi dopo lo show Hooters dispone di camere recentemente rimodernate.

My dream job - Il mio sogno lavorativo
Ebbene sì, alla domanda "hai i necessari permessi per lavorare negli Stati Uniti?" ora posso rispondere sì. Ho iniziato a cercare lavoro seriamente da circa 3 settimane principalmente in quel di Las Vegas ma con qualche eccezione: il motorsport. Il mio sogno era quello di lavorare con le brum brum su pista e in parte ci sono anche riuscita, grazie ad un precedente blog, grazie alle persone grandiose incontrate attraverso il percorso, ho viaggiato, ho visto e partecipato alle corse più importanti come la 24h di Les Mans e il GP di Monaco, tutto questo prima dei 25 anni. Il mio sogno però non si è del tutto realizzato, eh no, ci sono andata vicina ma ahimè non ce l'ho ancora fatta: lavorare per il cavallino rampante, la Ferrari. Non mi abbatto, ora mando tanti CV e aspetto, prego, con la voglia di lavorare e l'etica lavorativa che mi contraddistinguono. Non mollate mai i vostri sogni e soprattutto le passioni, anche se stremanti e che risucchiano, a volte i sogni si realizzano.
Yes, at the question "Do you have a proof of right to work in the United States?" now I can select YES at this question. I have started to look for a job circa 3 weeks ago, mainly here in Las Vegas with some exception: motorsport. My dream was to work with the racing cars, on the track, and in part I realized it, thanks to my previous blog, to fantastic people in the business, I have traveled, I have been part to some of the most important races like the 24th of Les Mans and the Monaco GP, all of this before being 25 years old. BUT my dream didn't realize completely, I was close but I didn't make it: work for Ferrari. I do give up, I am sending a lot of resumes and I wait and pray with my typical passion and work ethic. Don't give up your dreams and passions, also if they are tiring and exhausting, sometimes they become real.

Los Angeles Weekend
Questo weekend io e Joseph abbiamo fatto una toccata e fuga a Los Angeles, un vero e proprio viaggio lampo con partenza da Las Vegas sabato mattina e rientro domenica nel tardo pomeriggio. Il principale motivo del nostro viaggio è stato il concerto di Ludovico Einaudi presso la UCLA: STUPENDO. Il sabato abbiamo fatto una deviazione e abbiamo pranzato da Carrara Pastries a Moorpark, il locale è gestito da due fratelli toscani (Damiano ha partecipato a alcuni show su Food Network), tutto favoloso! Abbiamo soggiornato al Kimpton di Beverly Hills, solo a 10 minuti a piedi dalla UCLA. La domenica dopo un'abbondante MA SALUTARE colazione presso l'Urth Cafè di Santa Monica (provate il breakfast burrito) abbiamo passeggiato sul famosissimo Santa Monica Pier. Il pomeriggio abbiamo fatto il tour degli Warner Bros. Studio e ho realizzato un mio sogno: vedere dal vivo il set di The Big Bang Theory, ahimè in questo stage le foto non erano permesse. Shows in Las Vegas: Cherry Boom Boom and Piff The Magic Dragon
Since my arrival in Las Vegas I didn't stop a second: house chores and a lot of events, including the grand opening of Cherry Boom Boom at the Tropicana Hotel Resort and the first anniversary celebration of Piff The Magic Dragon at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. Cherry Boom Boom is a new sexy and modern production with fantastic American Rock 'n' Roll music. Piff The Magic Dragon starring the loser of America's Got Talent John van der Put and the cute Mr Piffles, the World's only magic performing Chihuahua. The show is fantastic a mix of comedy and magic.
Dal mio arrivo a Las Vegas non mi sono fermata un secondo: faccende da rientro e un sacco di eventi, tra questi ci sono stati il lancio del nuovo Cherry Boom Boom presso il Tropicana Hotel Resort e il primo anniversario di Piff The Magic Dragon presso il Flamingo Hotel and Casino. Cheery Boom Boom è una nuova produzione sexy e moderna accompagnata da fantastiche musiche Rock 'n' Roll. Piff The Magic Dragon vede protagonista il "perdente" di America's Got Talent John van der Put e il carinissimo Mr Piffles, l'unico Chihuahua magico al mondo. Lo show è un mix di travolgente comicità e giochi di magia.

Beerhaus presents Oktoberfest @ The Park

Happy weekend everybody! Autumn has arrived and with it a lot of events here in Las Vegas, first of all the Oktoberfest, what better location for this beer celebration than the Beerhaus at The Park? (I have already talked about it HERE and HERE). In this unique location between the New York New York and the Monte-Carlo casinos, yesterday night the celebration has started with the traditional keg tapping and the participation of the popular country duo LOCASH. The celebration will continue with music, beer and good food until tomorrow night, don't miss it!
Buon weekend a tutti! È arrivato l'autunno e con esso molti eventi qui a Las Vegas, primo tra tutti l'Oktoberfest, quale location migliore per festeggiare la birra se non Beerhaus presso The Park (ve ne avevo già parlato QUI e QUI). Ieri sera sono iniziati i festeggiamenti in questo unico "parco" tra l'hotel e casino New York New York e il Monte-Carlo, il culmine della serata è stato il tradizionale keg tapping e la partecipazione del popolare due country LOCASH. I festeggiamenti con musica, birra e buon cibo andranno avanti fino a domani sera, non mancate!

SEXXY’s 400th Show Anniversary
Here I am again in Las Vegas! I have to be honest saying I have missed my home! This week I am trying to get off from this terrible jet lag (9 hours!) and what better way to do it than participate to some events? Yesterday I went to the SEXXY’s 400th Show Anniversary at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. I have never been to any of this type of shows but I have to admit that I really enjoyed it: great dancers and amazing music! This year the show, produced and choreographed by Jennifer Romas, is nominee for the "Best of Las Vegas" in the categories Best Bachelor Party, Best Female Revue and Best Production Show.
Eccomi di nuovo a Las Vegas! Devo dire che ormai quella che reputo la mia casa mi è mancata parecchio! Questa settimana la sto dedicando solamente a recuperare il jet lag (9 ore!!) e quale modo migliore se non quello di partecipare a qualche evento? Ieri sono stata invitata alla celebrazione per la 400esima performance dello show Sexxy presso il Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. Non ero mai stata ad uno spettacolo di questo genere ma devo ammettere che è stata una vera rivelazione: ballerine bravissime e musica spettacolare! Quest'anno lo spettacolo, prodotto e coreografato da Jennifer Romas, è in lizza per l'ambito premio "Best of Las Vegas" per le categorie Best Bachelor Party, Best Female Revue e Best Production Show.

Franciacorta Weekend
Buongiorno a tutti! Scusate per la mia latitante assenza ma ho avuto 2 settimane di fuoco causa organizzazione del nostro matrimonio qui in Italia, parleremo di questo in seguito. Circa 10 giorni fa ho organizzato un weekend con i miei migliori amici, una specie di Bachelorette/Goodbye party, per questo evento ho scelto la Franciacorta, una zona molto bella e caratteristica tra Bergamo e Brescia. Fiore all'occhiello di questa zona sono i vini e quale attività migliore per iniziare il weekend se non una visita alle spettacolari cantine Ca' Del Bosco. Dopo la visita e qualche bicchiere ci siamo diretti verso la tenuta Borgo Santa Giulia dove abbiamo gustato un ottimo pranzetto di pesce. Durante il weekend ci siamo anche godute lo splendido Lago d'Iseo presso il Cocca Hotel Royal Thai SPA. La sera abbiamo voluto provare la cucina tipica del lago e abbiamo optato per la Trattoria Al Porto di Clusane. Davvero un fantastico weekend!

My Immigrantion Story
Goodmorning from Italy, precisely in Moneglia, where my family has a vacation house. My coming back in Italy has been a little “traumatic”: I HAVE TO LEARN TO USE CASH AGAIN. Today I would like to talk about my burocratic iter in the last year and an half. As I already told you before I entered in Usa with a K-1 visa and now I’m waiting for the Green Card interview. Here is my steps of my immigrantion case.
Buongiorno dall’Italia, precisamente ora mi trovo a Moneglia, dove la mia famiglia ha una casa per le vacanze. Il rientro è stato abbastanza “traumatico”: DEVO RITORNARE AD USARE I CONTANTI. Oggi vorrei parlare un po’ dell’iter burocratico dell’ultimo anno e mezzo. Come vi ho già detto in precedenza io sono stata ammessa in America con il visto K-1 e ora sto aspettando l’intervista per l’agognata Green Card. Lake Mead & the Hoover Dam
Two weekends ago Joseph and I have taken a day trip to the Lake Mead, 30 minutes from Las Vegas, and then we have visited the World famous Hoover Dam. Lake Mead is located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and, like all the other national parks in USA, it has a entry fee, if you are planning a long trip, like a coast to coast passing across the parks, my advice is to buy one of the passes (weekly, monthly, seasonal and so on). After we had bought the essential supplies we went to Boulder Beach, beach accessible with the car, the road is a little dirt so if you don't have a car adapt for the dirt road you can park your car in one of the parking lot before the dirt part. Not far from the beach there is the Las Vegas Marina where you can rent boats and jet skis. After we relaxed and refreshed for a couple of hours we have decided to visit the Hoover Dam, 15 miles from Boulder Beach and 35 miles from Las Vegas. Before to arrive at the Hoover Dam we had a walk on the Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, 275 meters tall and 579 long, where you can enjoy a breath taking view. Last but not least we have visited and walk on the Hoover Dam: IT IS COLOSSAL! After sunset it is forbidden to access to the Dam so plan your visit early enough.
Due weekend fa io e Joseph abbiamo fatto una piccola gita presso il lago Mead, a 30 minuti dal centro di Las Vegas, e in seguito abbiamo visitato la famosa diga di Hoover. Lake Mead fa parte del Lake Mead National Recreation Area e come tutti i parchi nazionali in America hanno una fee d'ingresso, se avete in mente di fare il classico "coast to coast" passando per i numerosi parchi vi consiglio di comprare uno dei numerosi pass (settimanali, mensili, annuali e così via). Dopo esserci riforniti delle provviste necessarie ci siamo diretti verso Boulder Beach, spiaggia direttamente accessibile in macchina, il suolo è abbastanza irregolare quindi se possedete una macchina non adatta allo sterrato potete sempre parcheggiarla prima dello sterrato dove è presente un parcheggio. Non lontano da Boulder Beach è presente Lake Mead Marina dove potete noleggiare barche o moto d'acqua. Dopo esserci rilassati (e rinfrescati) per un paio d'ore abbiamo deciso di visitare la famosa diga di Hoover, 15 miglia da Boulder Beach e 35 miglia da Las Vegas. Prima di arrivare alla diga abbiamo camminato e goduto della vista dal Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, alto 275 metri e lungo 579. Dulcis in fundo abbiamo raggiunto la diga e fatto una passeggiata: È MASTODONTICA. Al tramonto la diga viene sgomberata quindi pianificate la vostra visita prima del tramonto.

La Bella Napoli Pizzeria
Happy Friday everyone! Sometimes I'm a living Italian Stereotype and I need to go out and have a good pizza and some classic Italian drinks: mainly Spritz and Negroni. As you can imagine in America is not impossible but also not easy. In Las Vegas, thank to the massive number of Italian immigrants here (two days ago an Italian immigrant family stopped me at Starbucks) I have a pretty good selection. Last Friday we have visited a new spot not so far from the Strip: La Bella Napoli Pizzeria at Town Square. The restaurant is really bright and it looks like an original Pizzeria in Italy. The waiters are really well trained on the menu and really kind (some of them speak Italian) and the owner/manager is really attentive to the customers. Last but not least the food: for appetizer we ordered the Tortellini (exactly like my nonna's) and then we shared a flawless pizza, they use an authentic Italian, bell shaped wood fired oven shipped straight from Naples. To try!
Buon venerdì a tutti! Da buon stereotipo Italiano vivente certe volte ho voglia di uscire per una pizza e un paio di classici drink Italiani: Spritz e Negroni principalmente, ovviamente in America non è impossibile ma non è nemmeno facilissimo. A Las Vegas anche grazie al grande numero di immigrati Italiani (due giorni fa sono stata fermata da una famiglia di immigrati italiani da Starbucks) ho a disposizione qualche buona scelta. Venerdì scorso abbiamo provato un nuovo posticino non troppo lontano dalla Strip: La Bella Napoli Pizzeria presso Town Square. L'ambiente è molto luminoso e rispecchia molto le originali pizzerie Italiane. I camerieri sono davvero preparati ed educati (alcuni parlano Italiano) e la proprietà è molto attenta al cliente. Dulcis in fundo il cibo: come aperitivo abbiamo gustato un ottimo piatto di tortellini (sembravano quelli di mia nonna) e in seguito abbiamo diviso una pizza seriamente impeccabile, grazie al loro forno a legna che arriva direttamente da Napoli. Tutto accompagnato da un paio di Negroni! Da provare!

Chocolate Cookies
As I already told you I am really really bad in everything is dessert and baking, the only way to let me produce "decent" desserts is to set the difficult on "kindergarten" and what is easier than the cookies? I have tested this recipe that doesn't need any fancy powder, rising time or anything complicate, just a fork and less than an hour of your time.
Come vi ho già detto sono davvero negata per quanto riguarda la pasticceria, l'unico modo per farmi produrre dolci "decenti" è impostare la difficoltà su "asilo nido" e quale dolce più semplice dei biscotti? Ho testato questa ricetta che non comporta strane polveri, lievitazione o altro, solo una forchetta e meno di un'ora del tuo tempo.

Super Easy Taco Casserole
HOLA AMIGOS! Todo bien? E il mio fantastico Espanol che ho "studiato" per ben 1 anno si ferma qui. Adoro il cibo messicano e da quando sono qui in America sono diventata Guacamole dipendente, mentre io mi accontento dei Burrito di Chipotle, Joseph è un pochino più raffinato e certe volte mi cimento nella cucina Messica/Tex-Mex fatta in casa. Ieri ho testato una ricetta molto semplice ma dal risultato strepitoso: la TACO CASSEROLE. Una specie di "pasticcio" con gli ingedienti che si posso trovare nei taco. La mia versione è la più semplice in assoluto, a vostro piacimento potete aggiungere faglioli, riso, mais e cosa più vi ispira.

The best Ice Cream and Gelato in Las Vegas
Obviously I didn't left all my good Italian habits in Italy, among these habits the GELATO can't miss: I explained to Joseph during summer Italians eat tons of gelato, at least once per day, he was incredulous. I couldn't resist to searching the best Ice Cream Shops and Gelaterie here in Las Vegas. FOREWORD: Ice Cream and Gelato are different: the first contains more fats and it is fluffier, Italian Gelato is more intense and it contains more milk in proportion. Ovviamente alcune buone abitudini Italiane non le ho dimenticate nel Bel Paese, tra queste il GELATO non può mancare: spiegare a Joseph che in estate noi Italiani mangiamo almeno un gelato al giorno è stata un'impresa, era incredulo. Non potevo non andare a caccia dei migliori "Ice Cream Shop" e "Gelateria" qui a Las Vegas. PREMESSA: Ice Cream e Gelato sono diversi: il primo contiene più grassi ed è un pochino più morbido, il nostro gelato è più intenso e contiene in proporzione più latte. Boston: 40th year anniversary concert
Yesterday night Joseph and I have been invited at the only Boston Las Vegas date, in tour for celebrating their 40 year career, at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center. The night was opened by a performance of Dennis DeYoung, then Boston took the stage performing their biggest hits like "More Than a Feeling", "Amanda" and "Feelin' Satisfied". The heterogeneity of the crowd was amazing: from 20 years old guys to more mature fans that were present to the firsts Boston performances.
Ieri sera io e Joseph siamo stati invitati all'unica tappa a Las Vegas dei Boston, in tour per celebrare i loro 40 anni di carriera, presso il Downtown Las Vegas Event Center. La serata è iniziata con una fantastica esibizione di Dennis DeYoung per poi lasciare il palco ai Boston che hanno eseguito i loto grandi successi tra cui "More Than a Feeling", "Amanda" e "Feelin' Satisfied". La cosa che mi colpito di più è stata l'eterogeneità dei fan presenti al concerto: da ragazzi di 20 anni ai più maturi che erano presenti ai primi concerti dei Boston.

UFC Lip Sync Challenge
One of the most important entertainment sport here in Las Vegas is the fighting and UFC always holds the most important events, in particular this week with the UFC International Week, started on July 5th and it will end on July 10th. During this busy week, yesterday night there was the unique Lip Sync Challenge featuring 4 UFC stars: UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, UFC light heavyweight Rashad Evans, UFC middleweight Uriah Hall and the Veteran Voice of the Octagon Bruce Buffer, the special judge of the evening was the UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste. The ring of the challenge was the Lagasse's Stadium at The Palazzo where many fans came to see this unique fight. The challenge has seen a spectacular showdown between Stipe Miocic with Taylor Swift "Blank Space" and Uriah Hall with queen Beyoncè "All the Single Ladies", including the legendary choreography: the fans elected them co-champions. After the challenge the fighters have replied to the many questions of the fans and shown one more time the affinity and the gratitude that athletes here in America have towards their fans.
