Today I want to suggest another simple recipe with a pretty impressive result. Chipotle, it is not only a name of a pepper, here in America is also a restaurants chain and the main difference from the typical fast food restaurants is that they serve good quality mexican food: the concept is to "Do It Yourself" burrito, salad, tacos and bowl. My order is always chicken burrito with brown rice, black beans, cheese and guacamole (LOVE IT). Yesterday I have tried to "copy" their chicken with quite good results. Here the steps for one big chicken breast:

Oggi voglio proporvi un'altra ricetta molto semplice ma con un risultato da chef. Chipotle, oltre ad essere il nome di un peperoncino, qui in America è anche il nome di una catena di ristoranti che a differenza dei soliti fast food serve cibo messicano di una buona qualità: il concetto è "Do It Yourself" burrito, insalata e tacos principalmente. Il mio ordine è sempre burrito con riso integrale, fagioli neri, pollo, formaggio e guacamole (ADORO). Ieri ho cercato di replicare il loro pollo speziato con discreti risultati. My birthday weekend - Il weekend del mio compleanno

Hello and happy monday to everyone! I wish your week will start in the best way. Yesterday was my birthday, 25 years or a quarter of century, and my sweet husband and me have celebreted all the weekend. Saturday we have driving across the Death Valley and we have reached Skidoo. Skidoo was one of the most important cities during the gold rush; the road to reach this ghost town is a little bit windy but at the end you can admire wonderful landscapes and the old mine structures. On the way back we stopped in Beatty in a characteristic bar, the Sourdough Saloon, where we had beers and ribs. Sunday as typical American family we had a Brunch in one my favorite restaurants: Honey Salt in Summerlin, in the west part of town. I had a wordeful tuna with wasabi crust, Joe had a hamburger, drinking their wonderful Garden Mule. I love this restaurant because it is really similar to some European restaurant and the ingredients are really really fresh. Sunday night I have prepared a real American style dessert: the Reese's dessert, chocolate and peanut butter. This dessert is a tradition for me and Joe: from the first time I had lived in USA I felt in love for the Reese's; in March 2015 for my birthday Joseph came to visit me in Monaco and he made this dessert for me, since then it is our birthday tradition.

Buon lunedì a tutti! Spero il vostro inizio settimana sia dei migliori. Ieri era il mio compleanno, 25 anni o meglio un quarto di secolo, e io e il mio dolce maritino Joseph abbiamo festeggiato tutto il weekend. Sabato abbiamo passato la giornata guidando attraverso la Death Valley arrivando fino a Skidoo. Skidoo era una delle più importanti città di minatori nel periodo della corsa all'oro; la strada per arrivarci è un pochetto tortuosa ma alla fine si gode di una vista mozzafiato e si possono ammirare le vecchie strutture delle miniere. Sulla via del ritorno ci siamo fermati a Beatty in un tipico bar, il Sourdough Saloon, dove abbiamo bevuto birra e mangiato costine. Domenica da tipica famiglia americana abbiamo fatto un Brunch in uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti: Honey Salt in Summerlin, nella parte ovest di Las Vegas. Ho mangiato un ottimo Tonno in crosta di Wasabi, Joe si è lanciato su un Hamburger, il tutto accompagnato dal loro meraviglioso Garden Mule. Amo questo ristorante perché mi ricorda un po' i ristoranti Europei e le materie prime sono freschissime. Domenica sera mi sono cimentata in un'AMERICANATA ovvero la torta Reese's: burro d'arachidi e cioccolato. Questo dolce ha una tradizione per me è Joseph: dalla prima volta che ho vissuto in America ho amato i Reese's; nel Marzo 2015 in occasione del mio compleanno Joseph è venuto a trovarmi a Monaco e mi ha preparato questo dolce, non poteva che diventare una tradizione.

Wedding in Las Vegas - Matrimonio a Las Vegas

Exactly two months ago Joseph and I were getting married here in Las Vegas and I have organized everything from Italy because I moved in Las Vegas only in mid December. How to organize a wedding in Las Vegas not being there? In our case was a little easier because we had no guests but the best thing to do is to have a plan and analize all the possible options. The first step is the choice of the location and in Las Vegas they are infinite, HERE and HERE you can find all the possible options and information. I am an excel maniac and once I have contacted some locations (mainly via email) I have collected all the information and compared all the proposals. Almost all the locations propose different types of packages that included cerimony, flowers, music, hotel room, photographer, dvd, etc. We have chosen the Caesars Palace, my favorite hotel, and we were really satisfied: our package included the cerimony with a pianist, photographer, dvd of the ceremony, a credit for the flowers, a credit for the pictures and a room for the night. Regarding the dress I have chosen it and shipped it from Italy from the Pigal boutique in Bergamo, while for THE SHOES they are the Manolo Blahnik Hangisi (yes the Sex and the City ones) and I found them at the Manolo Blahnik boutique at the Wynn/Encore, one of the most important boutiques in the world.

Due mesi fa esatti io e Joseph ci siamo sposati qui a Las Vegas e io ho organizzato tutto dall'Italia poiché mi sono trasferita a Las Vegas solo a metà Dicembre. Come organizzare un matrimonio a distanza a Las Vegas? Nel nostro caso è stato un pò più semplice poichè non avevamo invitati ma la cosa migliore è avere un piano e analizzare al meglio tutte le opzioni. Il primo step è la scelta della location e a Las Vegas le opzioni sono davvero infinite, QUI e QUI potete trovare tutte le informazioni possibili. Io sono una maniaca di excel e una volta contattati le varie location (principalmente per email) ho raccolto tutte le informazioni in un file per comparare le varie offerte. Quasi tutte le location offrono diversi tipi di pacchetti che includono cerimonia, fiori, musica, sistemazione in albergo, fotografo, dvd, ecc. Noi abbiamo scelto il Caesars Palace, mio hotel preferito, e siamo stati molto soddisfatti: il nostro pacchetto comprendeva cerimonia con pianista, fotografo, dvd della cerimonia, un buono per i fiori, un buono per l'acquisto del materiale fotografico e una notte di pernottamento. Per quanto riguarda il vestito è stato scelto e fatto spedire dall'Italia, esattamente dalla boutique Pigal in Bergamo, mentre LE SCARPE sono le Hangisi di Manolo Blahnik (si quelle di Sex and The City) e che ho trovato nella boutique di Manolo Blanhik al Wynn/Encore, una delle boutique più importanti al mondo.

NASCAR in Las Vegas

I am sorry for the absence but I have had a pretty intense weekend: NASCAR! Motorsport is my main passion, in the last years it has become also my career, and this weekend that the NASCAR was in Las Vegas (Las Vegas Motor Speedway) and I couldn't miss it! I have taken part to many Formula 1 GPs, Les Mans and some other races but I never saw a stock car race like the NASCAR. Joseph and me had the garages pass so we had the opportunity to see every part of the event. I was mainly surprised by two things: the fans' emotional involvement and how easy is to meet the drivers. Here some pictures of the weekend!

Scusate l'assenza ma ho avuto un weekend molto intenso: NASCAR! Il motorsport è la mia principale passione, che con gli anni è diventata anche un lavoro, e questo weekend con la NASCAR a Las Vegas (Las Vegas Motor Speedway) non potevo di certo mancare. Ho partecipato a molti GP di Formula 1, Les Mans e altre gare minori ma MAI ad una gara di Stock Car come la NASCAR. Io e Joseph avevamo i pass per i garage quindi abbiamo avuto l'onore di vedere l'evento in tutte le sue parti. Le cose che mi hanno colpito di più sono stati la partecipazioni dei fan veramente sfegatati e la facilità di potere incontrare i piloti da vicino. Ecco le foto del weekend!

Sono fuori dall'Italia da un pò di tempo ora, circa 3 mesi, e di certo non riesco a stare al passo con tutto quello che succede nel Bel Paese (ad essere sincera certe volte è un bene). Cerco di leggere un pò di news sul Corriere.it e l'applicazione dell'ANSA. Altra parte fondamentale ed ESSENZIALE della mia giornata è ascoltare Radio Deejay, principalmente attraverso la app, i miei programmi preferito sono Deejay Chiama Italia, Pinocchio e Il Volo del Mattino che ascolto in reload in auto o mentre faccio le faccende di casa (o scrivo il blog ;D). Forse alcuni di voi appassionati di questa Radio e in particolare de Il Volo del Mattino con Fabio Volo si ricorderanno di me da un puntata di inizio Novembre al quale sono stata invitata con il mio attuale marito Joseph a parlare della nostra relazione a distanza e del vivere a Las Vegas, potete trovare la nostra puntata QUI, il nostro intervento inizia al minuto 34:00 circa.

I am outside Italy from a bit, almost 3 months, and of course I cannot keep tracking of the Italian daily events (and being honest sometimes is a good thing). I try to keep my self "updated" reading Italian news website like Corriere.it and the ANSA app. Another really important and ESSENTIAL part of my day is lisenting Radio Deejay, manly through the application, my favorite programmes are Deejay Chiama Italia, Pinocchio e Il Volo del Mattino, I listen them reloads while I drive or I clean the house (or I write the blog;D). Maybe someone remember me and my husband Joseph during an episode of Il Volo del Mattino in November: we were guests of the show talking about our long distance relationship and living in Las Vegas. Da circa un annetto mi sono appassionata di più al fitness e alla palestra. L'anno scorso abitavano nel Principato di Monaco e di domenica facevo circa 1:30h di jogging. Da Settembre ho iniziato più seriamente con la palestra e con l'aiuto di un personal trainer, Mirko della GetFit di Milano, ho definito meglio alcuni esercizi per far lavorare tutto il corpo. Ora a Las Vegas mi alleno presso la Life Time Athletic in Summerlin e sono molto soddisfatta. Non è solo una palestra ma un vero e proprio club che comprende un'ampia sala fitness, sala yoga, sala pilates, campi da squash/raquetball, basketball e calcio, sala spinning, un muro per l'arrampicata, una piscina interna e una esterna, una spa e un salone di bellezza. Mi alleno 2/3 volte a settimana tipicamente alternando la sala fitness, lavoro cardio e addominali in particolare, con qualche corso: adoro fitness pilates e zumba. A volte faccio alcuni esercizi a casa e prendo ispirazione da Alexa Jean Brown su Instragram, Ecco qualche video dei suoi esercizi. Buon allenamento!

From almost one year I have become more passionate about fitness and gym. Last year I was living in the Principality of Monaco and on Sunday I usually jogged for 1:30h around the city. From September  I have started seriously with the gym and, with the help of the personal trainer Mirko from the gym GetFit in Milan, I figured out some exercises that aim to worked out all the body. Now in Las Vegas I have started to working out at the Life Time Athletic in Summerlin and I am really happy with the choice. It is not only a gym but it is a real club that includes a big fitness room, yoga room, pilates room, squash/raquetball, basketball and soccer fields, spinning room, climbing wall, an indoor and an outdoor pool, a spa and a beauty salon. I work out 2/3 times a week alternating the fitness room, usually cardio and abdominals exercises, and some group training: I really like fitness pilates and zumba. Sometimes I do some exercises at home taking some ideas from Alexa Brown on Instagram. Here some video of her exercises. Have a good working out!

Buongiorno! Oggi voglio condividere una ricetta italiana più o meno americanizzata: il risotto ai funghi. Piccola premessa: mio marito ha scoperto il risotto l'anno scorso quando gliene ho cucinato uno DALLA BUSTA, scusate provetti Masterchef. Circa 2 settimane fa abbiamo comprato il Crock-pot, ovvero uno slowcooker o letteralmente "un cucinatore lento", ho scoperto che questa pentola è molto popolare negli States e ovviamente non potevo farne a meno, potete trovarne alcuni modelli QUI. Quella che ho testato ieri sera è una ricetta molto semplice per il risotto ai funghi. Ecco tutti i passaggi.
