Walking around Downtown - Camminando per Downtown

Here in Las Vegas I live in a quite central neighborhood and is really easy to reach The Strip and Downtown by foot, even if I am lazy and I often take the car (also because the hot temperature). The rising neighborhood between the Strip and Downtown is The Art District where they are opening lots new coffee shops and cocktail lounges like Makers and Finders and Velveteen Rabbit. Saturday, because of the nice day, me and Joseph have decided to walk around the Art District and Downtown. We stopped for some coffees and donuts at Pawn Donut and Coffee (CAFFE' ILLY): Everyone know the tv show Pawn Star on History Channel. From almost 1 year Rick and company, in the same parking lot of their famous pawn shop, opened a new location with restaurants, coffee shop and more. Then we reached the Container Park, a new area with lots of restaurants, shops and events. Unfortunately all the restaurants' patios were busy so we decided to stop for a drink at one of our favorite places in Downtown, Park on Fremont: amazing cocktails (try the Pillow Talk), sandwiches, tapas and bites. After a dish of garbage fries and some cocktails on their patio we started to walk home passing through Fremont Street Experience, a sort of Strip of Downtown with lots of street artists and free shows.

Qui a Las Vegas vivo in una zona abbastanza centrale ed è molto facile raggiungere a piedi sia la Strip che Downtown, anche se volte faccio la pigrona (anche causa temperatura). Il quartiere tra la Strip e Downtown è l'Art District, un quartiere in pieno "rinascimento" con nuovi coffee shop e cocktail lounge come Makers and Finders e Velveteen Rabbit. Sabato, approfittando della bella giornata, io e Joseph abbiamo fatto una camminata per la zona di Art District e di Downtown. Primo stop è stato per un caffè e donut presso Pawn Donut and Coffee (CAFFE' ILLY): molti di voi conoscono il programma Pawn Star - Affari di Famiglia, ovvero le peripezie di questo banco dei pegni a Las Vegas, da circa un anno Rick e company hanno aperto nello stesso parcheggio del loro famoso negozio un'area di ritrovo con ristoranti, coffee shop e altro. Ci siamo poi diretti verso Container Park, una nuova area con molti ristoranti, negozi ed eventi. Purtroppo tutti i ristoranti non avevano posti liberi all'aperto quindi ci siamo diretti verso uno dei miei locali preferiti in questa zona che è Park on Fremont: ottimi cocktail (provate il Pillow Talk), sandwich e tapas. Dopo un piatto di garbage fries e un paio di cocktail nel loro patio ci siamo incamminati verso casa passando per Fremont Street Experience, diciamo la Strip di Downtown con molti artisti di strada e show gratuiti.
